Grief Retreat 2024

We are super excited to host a fall grief retreat this year! Our event is in the Laurel Highlands of Pennsylvania, just one mile from United 93 National Memorial. This is a great bonding time for our Silent Grief community where I will share plenty of insights for walking through your grief journey while taking plenty of time for rest and relaxation.

The retreat is October 18th through the 20th at the beautiful Camp Allegheny in the Laurel Highlands of Pennsylvania. It will be a time of sharing, meeting new friends, and plenty of time for relaxing while we soak in the mountain views!

Airport Options

  • Johnstown Airport –Located about 20 minutes from Camp Allegheny, this small airport is a good option for those who want the convenience of arriving and departing close by.
  • Latrobe Airport — The Arnold Palmer Latrobe Regional Airport is only a 40 minute drive to Camp Allegheny and is very convenient because it is just a few minutes from US Route 30, the same road that Camp Allegheny is located.
  • Pittsburgh International Airport — Pittsburgh International Airport offers many options for flight times and may be a little cheaper than the regional airports, but it is a 2 hour drive to Camp Allegheny.

Plenty to do!

There are plenty of activities we have planned, including visiting the United 93 National Memorial together. The camp itself has lots of scenic hiking trails, mountain views, and both indoor and outdoor activities. You will make memories that last a lifetime! There will be plenty of time to rest, hang out with new friends, and sit around campfires.

I’m most excited to have a candle lighting service where you can bring photos and any other meaningful items of your child. We promise to take time to honor your child and offer time for you to share meaningful memories of your child.

Meals and lodging

All meals and lodging are included as part of the registration fee. We only ask that you bring linens for your bed. The camp has a beautiful dining hall and the meals are buffet style.
